Looking for Xtraceroute.

#1 Post by Adagio »

It hasnt been updated for years, and having trouble getting it to run on recent Pupies.

I got an old .pup from MU and converted it, and the most recent .rpm (from Mandriva-2011) and installed both, but both had the same lib compatability issues that I havent been able to resolve.

I cant believe that everyone has stopped using this.

Found a whizzbang graphical traceroute that keeps downloading Earth imagery and eats up the bandwidth, and thats not good for me.

If not Xtraceroute, is there anything comparable?
I havent been able to find one.

In PPM there's mtr-tiny, or this which requires Java. If you'd prefer to build, there's a src pkg available..

OpenVisualTrace is the bandwidth hog that I couldnt remember the name of.
Mtr is a console app.

There has to be a Xtraceroute or a clone out there somewhere.
