That's not nice!!! (But it's funny!)
Like extracting the "ami" out of amigo, or the "mush" out of musher0!!!
Again, not nice, but terribly funny!!!

"er0" Wink BFN.

I found it useful with the Raspberry pi 2 Laughing
It opens up rpm packages for ARM processor.

I am using a raspberry pi with fatdog arm OS

I was able to get Uextract 3.15 to work in fatdog arm v7 (very useful Cool )
however I found that to make the pinstall.sh script to work properly
I had to insert at beginning
Code:
cd /

so that the moving of the files was relative to /

I posted the uextract 3.15 SFS file and the Uextract pinstall script at

http://www.mydrive.ch/

Guest user: porteus@don570

Install the SFS file first then run script to make right clicks

Good program, but a very irritating behavior.

Could that be overriden ?

Currently there's no option to override this.
I know it can be cumbersome, but this is a trade off to ensure that archives without the main, top-most directory won't do a mess.
Also, batch extracting could lead to numerous overwrites (e.g. control files in DEBs or p(un)install.sh scripts in PETs).

Greetings!

I've been using Uextract to open up debian packages for arm processor.

Hello SFR....this is an incredibly comprehensive extraction utility, and such a small pawprint! Great job, thank you Smile
Using in Slacko 5.7 32-bit, no bugs at this time..

Hello SFR,

Not sure if this is important or if I am doing something wrong.
I download the 32bit .deb of Slimjet browser from http://slimjet.com
I right click the .deb and extract with Uextract 3.15 and the terminal window lists some errors so does not close.
I think all the files ARE successfully extracting though, they all seem to be there.

I previously had Uextract 3.10 and with this the terminal window would close after extracting a slimjet .deb

I will edit out most of the lines showing files extracted:-

Code:
UExtract v3.15 by SFR'2013-2015; GNU GPL v2 applies

Yeah, it's a bug - UExtract can use full dpkg-deb as well as busybox's dpkg-deb, but in case if both are available, it tries to extract again with the latter, even if the former has succeeded.
Thanks for finding and reporting this.
___________

Version 3.16:
- fixed double extraction of DEBs (thanks to OscarTalks)
- added support for fusecompress(ed) files [req. fusecompress_offline]
- can extract BOINC installers
- new extensions:
  • .7zip (same as .7z)
  • .tzma (same as .tar.lzma)
  • .xlsm (Excel Open XML Macro-Enabled Spreadsheet)
