Hi!
I'm not a techie. I installed Lucid Puppy 5.2.8 to a usb stick (512 MB, I still have one ) using "Universal USB installer" program. When I boot from USB the boot screen comes but its not loading after that. On the screen

Loading drivers needed to access disk drives.... Done
Searching for puppy files in computer disk drives... Done
Loading the 'lupu_528.sfs' main file... copying to ram

and it stays there. Nothing happens after that.

Can anyone help me with issue? Thanks in advance..

It would help if you tell us what computer you are using as to type, installed memory, etc.
I had something similar happen when I tried to boot a CD of Puppy.
Puppy Slacko 5.5 and Puppy Lupu 5.20 failed part way through the boot at about the same place as you.
I ended up booting Puppy 4.3.1 scsi and that booted to the desktop.
But I really think the PC, which had Windows ME on it, just did not have enough memory to handle the boot process in trying to copy the SFS file to ram.

1. I found that Lupu-528.005 worked really well on my old [2003] PC, but wouldn't boot on my new 2012 PC.

2. Slacko-5.3.3.1 booted just fine on both my old and new PC's

3. Precise-5.6.1 boots nicely on my new PC.

4. Try this install to USB method:
I expect the method will work with nearly all Puppies.

I am using a PC with 1.67GHz Atom processor, 1GB RAM and Window Starter OS.
I'll try with other version of Puppy.

Provide the make and model number!

That old USB stick is likely a version 1.1. The fact that it's old and slow mean that it likely wont work as a boot device with a modern puppy. I have failures from time to time with an old 1GB stick.
