Outlook/Hotmail scam?

#1 Post by Tote »

I've been using Outlook, the 'new' hotmail, from you know who. Last few days when I sign in for my Outlook account I get a pop-up about security, alternative e-mail address/phone number etc, in case I loose my password.

It counts down; skip for now, five days, four days, etc each time I log in.

Anyone else getting this? Is it genuine? Couldn't find anything on the net.

Just wondering. Paranoia creeping in.

Since I joined it using Windows 7 OEM on an Asus Netbook , I am using still USER→NAME @ l i v e . d e . .
with pop3.live.com mail .
I am not there much , probably once every 6th month .
Skydrive had 25GB back then, now it is 7 GB .

Don't know what this hotmail is all about .
The mobile_phone_sync thing everywhere gets on my nerves .
Am just x-ing these all the time .

Somehow really hope that account gets hacked, so I can start new from scratch .

Thanks Karl. I had a brainwave and changed my log-in password; no more pop-up. Still don't know what it was about though.
