RTL 8712 - can we re-build the driver?

I have the linux 2.6.6 drivers on mini cd as .tar.gz--it supports WPA/PSK and Android devices. I'd like to use it. Someone in Australia want to walk/crawl me through it? I have Slacko-5.5 I'm avail all day. GMT+8 I'll alow remote operation of my pc if it helps. Warning-unreliable internet connection-drops out if 90 sec low traffic. no skype, but mob is free. will watch for replies.

Kernel 2.6.6 drivers for RTL 8172, 8188,8191, 8192SU-- anything now compatible from current drivers? Wrapper not working on XP32 drivers.cannot get WPA/PSK operation.
