Looking for open source webshop software
Just recently I became aware how easy it is to maintain a website in puppy linux which is physically located on a puppy computer, so you do not need to rent webspace at a provider. The machine needs to be online all the time of course, the website gets a weird url and you have to protect it better than a normal web browsing machine (because script kiddies are always oon the lookout for easy servers to host their malware) but these problems are not unsolvable.
So... wat I would like to have in puppy is a kind of pplog / pe_plog which works as a webshop. Preferably bitcoin and/or other currency enabeld (so you are not only self sufficient for the server, but you can also do without paypal and the like).
One totally open source webshop program which I have found is this:
As possible bitcoin alternative for small communities
is cclite. It works on a radically different principle than bitcoin, namely the bater concept of Local Exchange Trading Systems (LETS), which has the incredible benefit that a community can create their own money out of nothing (disadvantage: it is not that easy as with bitcoin to convert LETS money into real world money).
But ccLite even is written in perl, it has a very puppyan look&feel. URL is here:
