Puppy Precise - 5.61 Positive Review

Well Puppians I have just booted into a live environment of Precise Puppy 5.61 and the speed of it seemed faster on my old AMD sempron 3000 1Gig ram than previous versions.

The Package Manager seems to have improved, both programs I asked to be installed did so without choking.

So well done DEVS on the improved performance.

I still have concerns about Precise Puppy being a possible Wary replacement. I think its Ram requirements don't quite stack up to boast being able to do that.

The only way would be to look at a Precise stripped to the Max. Looking at what starts up. Maybe SG Mixer replaces Retrovol and maybe a network status indicator which uses less ram.

To sum up quite enjoyable to use really over previous releases.
