Storage space in a flash drive install

I have installed the latest Puppy Linux Slacko version on an 8 GB flash drive. (Win XP is installed on the HDD).

I have allotted 2.2 GB to personal file saving (ext 4) of which 1.8 GB is free. My system has 2 GB memory.

I want to know what is the storage space available in this set up: is it a total of 2.2 GB or is it 8 GB.

Thanks.

Right-click on your save file ("slackosave"), then left-click on "Properties."
This should display the total save-file size.

Hi,

Your actual space will be less than 8GB though you can use
the avaiable space as you wish - e.g make a directory say,
Music separate from your save file and copy or move or
download some music files there.

Also mount your Windows drive or partition with music or
pictures and click.

You might like to move your browser cache outside of your
save file then copy it back with a zero space absolute or
relative link.

It's probably a good idea to make a same-size ext4
partition on your hard drive and do a full backup of
your pen drive and perhaps just your save file before
you try anything unusual.

My regards
