Surfrawpup by Julian Assange. Websearch in terminal Sub_title: Shows web images in Puppy terminal in w3m
Here is a pet package called surfrawpup that allows you to search the internet from a Puppy terminal. It's based on the Surfraw package written by Julian Assange.
This is a similar idea to the pupclsearch package that I put together recently. See here:
Since the w3m browser as well as its image extension have been included here, you can now see images within the Puppy terminal.
There are at least 100 "elvis" available. An elvi is simply a configuration script for a particular search engine. As an example, to use the Google elvi, simply open a Puppy terminal and type in:
Quote:
sr google dog
This will search for and display Google search results directly in your teminal window. Surfrawpup can be easily configured to show your results in any browser that you have installed. Another example:
Quote:
sr leodict Welpe
will search leo.org for Welpe (Puppy)
The elvis (over 100 of them ), are saved in /usr/lib/surfraw
