sounds works well at the beginning Sub_title: The cause would be the savefile ! |
|
"Just for information, You would boot up the live cd and this time use the RAM option. .Mount the drive where the save file is and just delete it in the file manager. Then make a new save file with a different name from the first. When you boot that save file up then download the revert.pet and install it. Don't make any other "sound" changes until next boot up or reboot. "

Hi Pelo.
MacPup 525, 528 is based on Lucid. I don't know if it is a Lucid Puppy derivative or a woof build, but the Lucid has had sound problems until released version 528-004, which is the base OS of LazY Puppy - I know this because I did start three times from the beginning to build LazY Puppy, using 528, 528-002 (or 003) and 528-004.
Maybe that's why there is MacPup 528-2?
Might be better to do a post in its original thread?

The sound "problem" only effected v2 . The solution is the guote he has made. Mp528 didn't have the issue.

MacPup 528 is my prefered MacPup. Sub_title: sound bug |
|
A save works very well with the sound, not the others. I tried to understand. I made of the save which works a basic model. But I have well on found step the reason of the breakdown.
By-pass the problem or solve it ?
By pass
First use and first save : Keep the save in safety, make a copy and work with copies. Soon or late sound will disappear. Why ? that is the question.
Solve it :
I spend my Sunday searching. Run twice the alsawizard solved the problem sometimes but not permanently.
I think there is some sound cards incompatible. I am searching which one should be blacklisted. I shall tell you (if I find !)

Hi Pelo,
See: http://www.murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=86728
You may (or may not) find the information from Iguleder useful in reconciling your own sound problem.
