I was getting a package from freecode this morning and came across firewall/sosdg.
Barry was 'talking' about updating ours as we have no ip6 components etc and it's been unsupported for some years now.
And since firewall-sosdg is also suppose to be just scripts as our old one is and is supported by the sosdg It may be of use.
I was wondering if one or more of our programmer-scripters would at least take a look at it and give a possible / not suitable even if they arn't willing to take it on as a project.
Site is: http://www.sosdg.org/freestuff/software/firewall-sosdg

?A new firewall for puppy?
No 8-bit, as I understand it, noscript only relates to the browser it's running on and web pages, not an underlying system firewall which I believe is, and think should be, tied to a ethernet/etc/wifi port.
I'm no genius at these things, but that was how it was done in the old days.
I'm not sure even, that there should be a separate firewall for each port you use, ie two ethernet ports=two firewalls or one covering both
