Hi, Pelo.
You did tell me once, you can't speak German, right?
And I assume, you did create a save file (arrived on the desktop after rebooting) with built in SaveFile-Builder, right?
On my computers it boots straight to desktop without to use a save file, so I don't use a save file at all.
Maybe this here might be helpful?
If not, I'm out of ideas, sorry.
And for the German Language: some of the Programs might not run, if using different Language than DE. Also some Menu Entries will stay in German Language.
RSH
P.S.
The German user, slackfan, who did have also problems to boot to graphical desktop, seems to have solved booting LPrec straight to desktop without to use a save file. Maybe sending a PM to him, will offer some useful information for you?

The only reason that I can currently see, might be the creation of a save file....the mouse pointer moves, but clicking is inactive

Mouse and touchpad
Well, well... It's a real pity that the click of the mouse does not work. It's strange because the mouse moves. Touchpad is inactive. But with no touchpad and no mouse, i look stupid.
Saving or not saving can be discussed later .
I dont speak german at all.
I wait and see if many people encounter the mouse problem.
I erase my save file and i ill advise.
I will try again with virtual box. Be stubborn on the matter.

Savefile removed. mouse click still inactive
I dont understand. The bug would be from Precise. But the first time, all was working.
Dont mind. I will try something of my own.

I remember me reading something similar a few weeks ago.Pelo wrote:No, i am wrong, mouse still freezes, it's a precise 5.6 bug ! change for another version (older or newer, but not this one.
Wasn't it about USB-Mouse and Precise?
I'm still using the PS2 Mouse Ports.
Maybe I'll find some time next week to run LPrec for a few days on a Computer using a USB-Mouse.
We'll see...

RSH : yr LazyPuppy runs fine on RACY 5.3 !
I have installed your Puppy on the back of this brave RACY 5.3.
I write you now with it. No more mouse problem. I am proud !
La version Racy n'intéresse pas, elle tourne, et bien je me la garde en 'club privé'. Chacun voit midi à sa porte.
Nice sunday afternoon.

Hi, Pelo.
I don't have any web space for uploading files from different users.
Also, I'm currently not interested in building a new LazY Puppy variant - no matter on which OS based.
I'm currently owning 10 different LazY Puppy variants (DE only), based on 5 different Puppies (Kernel from 2.6.33 up to 3.4.somewhat) plus the original Lucid based LazY Puppy.
By now, I'm just somehow lucky/happy to have been able to make some steps back/away from developing and creating LazY Puppy variants.
Really, this (Puppy) is strongly addictive and I don't like to be addicted to whatever has any addictive potential.
All I could do (and what I'm working on from time to time) would be to publish my LazY-Puppy.SFS and the needed Openbox/Tint2 installation file (PET).
But this all is still mostly in German language. So, not really useful for Users, who can't speak/read/write German.
Currently I can't tell, when this LazY-Puppy.SFS will be available for other Puppy-Users. I don't want to publish the DE only version and also I don't have time to work on EN translations.
Best would be to find someone who will do the translations from DE to EN. For some parts of the LazY-Puppy.SFS I've made requests for translations on the forum - without any success. Could be just some language barriers, but could be also based on the fact, that only a few on the forum has had the potential to recognize LazY Puppy's and its Application's potential.
Some also might not be interested in just because of me and my controversial personality.
I don't know and I really don't care.
Because: it all works very well over here, I like it and that's what matters to me.
Greetings
RSH
