Hi,
I'm new to puppy linux and have just installed on to a ViewSonic netbook VNB100
Unfortunately the WiFi is not working.
Opening a terminal window and typing rfkill list displays:
0: phy0: wlan
Soft blocked: no
Hard blocked: Yes
There is a FN+F2 key combination to turn the wifi off/on but the FN keys no longer work I assume due to installing Puppy Linux?
Is there a way I can unblock the wifi?
many thanks
no wifi wlan hardblocked

Welcome to Puppy mate.
But which Puppy????
We only have over a 1000 varieties.

Maybe first try hitting >>> Cntrl Alt Backspace
at the same time
You will come to a black screen
type >>>> xwin
and the desktop will reappear.
See if the wifi light works.
Even just touch the Wifi icon without the Fn key.

Otherwise as I posted here....

Even Slacko couldn't see the wireless on a reboot before I did the above.
So I knew it was hardware....
and tough love was needed.
Sounds stupid....but draining the lappy of residual power often works.
