Just been trying out Kingston Office (well-known on Android) on the latestPuppy Precise 5.6 You can download the 32 bit DEB here: http://wdl.cache.ijinshan.com/wps/download/Linux/unstable/kingsoft-office_9.1.0.4032~a10_i386.deb It installed with one click on the downloaded DEB file in puppy precise 5.6 with one minor warning about a missing font. This looks good. I'll see about converting it to a PET package if there is a demand. According to their website, since the Ubuntu chinese distro is being adopted as the official Chinese OS, development work is continuing apace on this office suite. _________________ Life is too short to spend it in front of a computer |

Get the Kingston Office sfs here: http://www.adrive.com/public/85NbyD/kingston-9-0.sfs This is known to run on Puppy Precise (as a full install)and Debian Wheezy. Should be OK on Ubuntu as well. I have not extensively tested this office suite, so I can't say exactly how it would stack up in a production environment.
