Hi,

this is my first post so first of all I have to say what an amazing piece of work puppy is. I'm using it on a old junk machine with a 300 MHz celeron, 128MB RAM and puppy is booting from a 200 MB Hard drive and it runs incredibly fast and looks really good !

Here's a few (small) problems I have however

I'd like to install the opera browser and a couple of other packages but the only ones listed when launching pup-get (gui version) are listed below ?

*f-prot Signature files for Xfprot virus checker
*lua Scripting language
*links Small and fast web browser
*sane Scanner drivers for the Xsane scanner application
*slmodem Support for the Smart Link range of modems
*luckydip A collection of useful small applications
*tgif Vector drafting graphics editor

I know there are others because I've ftp'd to iblio.org

/pub/linux/distributions/puppylinux/pupget_packages-1
and there are many others. I've tried downloading from here but the server is painfully slow are there any mirrors ?
can I use pup-get from the command line only ? Can somebody give me an example of the sysntax ?

There is something odd going on here.
Are you using the official puppy-1.0.2-mozilla.iso?
-- if so, there should be a longer list of packages, including Opera.

PupGet can be launched from the commandline:

# pupget

(no hyphen).
