Player for DVD files (Solved)

#1 Post by firak »

How to see a complete DVD, that is copied in the disc as files ( .vob, .info etc.)?
The video files I receive is 8g. So is no possible to burn it normal.
I open some of the files whit the video players that I have, and i can see part of the movie. But I didn't fin a way to see the entire one. And also the menu that comes with the dvd, to choose chapters, does not work.

Im running on macpup528, whit the players Xine,Mppalyer, Gnomeplayer.
They all do not play the intere content.
and in dppup puppy_squeeze_5, I also try qwith e player VLC. in this case openig the folder ghives errors.

Do you konw any esy way to see an intere dvd content file as a dvd in puppy?

If Macpup has a program that will make iso files, you could make an iso file that contains all the video files, then tell Xine or one of the other players to play the iso file.

Try the rebuild of index, also newer versions of 'ripped' video are designed to fail around mid-point if taken from 'commercial' movie sources to fight piracy  Just saying, I do not know what happened to your video 8)

Yes Flash,
in this way it works. solved.
The program pburn was able to export an .iso from a VIDOE_TS folder.
GnomePlayer did play the movie.
Actually the menu of the video does not work proprely in this iso, but
I manage anyway to see all the muvie, clicking the forward tab of the player few times.

What size were the files you used to make the iso? How many MB or GB?
