Osmo Planner not responding
Osmo Planner not responding
I'm using Slacko version 5.5 from an 8 GB flashdrive. I have 2 GB RAM. The personal file size is 2.7 GB & 2.3 GB is free.
The Osmo default calender & organizer with the desk top shortcut "Plan" is not responding - neither the shortcut nor from the menu.
It was responding normally but after increasing my personal file space, it stopped responding. Can any one help?
All other programs are running normally.

I have chosen to create an ext 4 file system.
I typed that sentence at the very bottom of the opening screen. There is no way to type at above right - there is a large "slacko" logo, occupying the top 3/4ths of the screen.
The application still doesn't respond.
I typed osmo once again in the terminal. It shows the same Segmentation fault.

Just because 8 GB is available on the flash drive. Initially I have allotted only 512 MB as the system said it's enough, but then the tray indicator for the personal file was showing all red.Semme wrote:Ext4's fine. You've got a 'frugal' install there, correct? Why was personal storage increased?
Is there any problem if the space is increased?
Hi,
There should be no problem with increasing the size of your
save file (ideally, as and if necessary).
However, restoring a recent backup is easier than a Forum
enquiry if something goes wrong. When I used Slacko I found
it stable and excellent - and it survived all power cuts - except
one - when I had to restore.
My regards

I think slackosave-name.4fs is the backup file.On opening that directory in /mnt/home, I find number of files. Does one of them list the backups timewise (chronologically)? Please let me know how to restore.Jasper wrote:restoring a recent backup is easier than a Forum

Thanks.
Hi all,
If ssreddy is prepared to start again from scratch - with his
2GB of RAM and if he made a new save file no larger than
1GB would everything load into RAM and generally increase
operating speed?
@ ssreddy - when we know the answer to the above - then I,
or one of the experts, will surely answer your last question
and also proffer further suggestions for your consideration.
My regards
PS you may like to put some background in your
signature - see mine below:

Ok, thank u.
Whether it helps my present problem or not, it surely helps to know how to restore to a previous normally functioning point.
Secondly, my problem is not slow speed, therefore, even if the answer is yes to your query to "all", it may not be directly relevant to me. My problem is not being able to open osmo & unless u think it's directly related to my increasing the save file size, u cannot find fault with it.
Of course, starting from the scratch again is the ultimate solution for any problem.
Thanks again.
