no sound after reboot & alsaconf problem

dear people,
lately I tried tofix the sound problem (no sound after reboot) on slacky 5.3.3 & dell latitude 610
while doing this the alsaconf suddenly showed the following error message ...
what to do?
any help is welcome!

It looks like that are too many sound drivers loaded and one incompatible one has claimed the first sound devices.
The lsmod command shows loaded drivers.

First of all: Thanks for your answer.
Well - I checked "lsmod" ... the result is shown in the caputred screen dump (attached file).
Seems as if the sound driver is loaded ...
I'm not sure what's next ...

I seem to have the same problem on PuppyPrecise, latest edition, the driver is loaded but no sound...

Here's something to do...
Try
audacity 1.3.9 (It doesn't work on recent Puppies
but it may work on slacko)
This version automatically detects sound cards and the sound may
automatically work without a user setting.
Recent versions of audacity don't do this.
