Hi, I used X Delta File Difference Manager on two isos.
The old file was 219mb
The new file was 303mb.
The created X Delta file is 167mb.
Should the Delta File not be around 84mb or so?
Also how can I do a remaster of a puppy to squeeze it up a bit more with GZ or XZ compression?
Thanks for any info on these two points.
X Delta File Difference Manager
It's easy to check if the Delta difference program has worked
correctly, by going in reverse direction. Just read the instruction
in window.
The difference file is never as small as you think it will be.
The compression algorithm looks for a change in a group of bytes.

I think that you will have to use Barry Kauler's WOOF if you want a
Puppy that uses the higher xz compression algorithm . This is
how Pemasu can include more apps in his ISO but keep the size
at 168mb while Barry's official precise is 169mb
EDIT:
I haven't tested but perhaps the builtin remaster program uses
the same compression method as orig distro that you booted .
So if you started with a pemasu distro and added applications
to it and then used the builtin remaster program --> the .sfs file
would be compressed more with xz compression.
I haven't tested this though.
