hey superdave
I'm primarily a slacko and fatdog/lighthouse64 user but I'm sure most distro's have transmission which is the torrent app found in 'internet'
download the torrent, open with transmission, download the file and then burn with pburn (excellent!) found in 'multimedia'

I am new to linux. I will be installing FatDog for windows 7 64 bit. Do you have a link to get the "transmission" app? I can load the data onto another flash drive separate from the one running Fatdog puppy right?

Fairly sure it comes with it. I think Transmission is a standard app across all Puppies.

hey peter
you will find that most puppies come with all the apps you will need for daily life built in,
make sure you download a proper 'iso' burner for windows to get you going - have fun
