Hello DPUP5520,

- THanks will test to install that.. . very nice!

- However do you have any other information on making the actual boot process show a "splash screen" instead of the loading text information?

Best regards,
Johan

Oh ok I see what you are saying now. I've never actually seen this happen in Puppy before and do not know if it is possible to have a consistent splash screen through the boot process which would replace the text.
I did a quick Google search and searched through the forums and didn't come up with anything.

I believe this url and the answer part has relevant information:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/80938/is ... based-boot

Puppy kernels have: # CONFIG_LOGO is not set
So...you will need to compile kernel with that option enabled. Then you can start to tinker with framebuffer and check the kernel mode setting ie KMS part. Certain kernels....like in Precise Puppy has KMS enabled as default in kernel level. It might interfere also.

probably want loglevel=7 too, that is, no puppy loglevel=3 patch.
