Code: Select all

cat dir_tree.txt | grep '-wrxwrxwrx'
But the "find" in your text editor will do too :D

Yeah, two more hours I guess (currently 14%). But then no more so frequent
updates.. because it is now very stable and mature .. right? Some addition may be provided as separate package,

I'm thinking about a control center - not just to set system language
and time zone, but also for panel setup like to choose horizontal/vertical
and changing panel launchers

I agree, the system has advanced by a significant margin, from day one. When IcyOS does another review...i'm thinking the introduction won't be "Proceed with caution!" like it is on the current video.

There's another review, and much shorter by Spoonfeeding Linux.
I don't know have you seen it, it's for 12.12

I think using transparent desktop icon label makes it look much better.

Yes this is certainly needed, though I'm not sure there is anything that is small enough and will run on openbox.

udev rules are supposed to be 777 aren't they? that's the permission they are in the main.sfs...

only two files now have -rwxrwxrwx...and that's rc.conf and 99-hide-disk.rules in /etc/udev.

Stifiling, are the permissions and everything else sorted? I'm on limited bandwidth and don't want to have to dl again in a day or two.

No worries, these things take time. It's not an inconvenience at all. Thanks for all your hard work to give us XFCE,

Stifiling, the settings manager is missing some categories (see screen shot below). It seems that personal and hardware .directories are missing from /usr/share/desktop-directories. I copied them from one of the old sfs's and I'll edit this sfs later. Other than that,no issues so far.

Thunar custom actions

#94 Post by rg66 »

Here are some handy right click custom actions for thunar installed with a script, customized for archpup with xfce..

Rc-actions are from Saluki/Carolina, it includes: create symbolic link, create tar.gz, gzip file(s), permanently remove and show full path.

Calculate md5sum: allows for multiple files an copy/paste.

Copy to and move to: copy and move files and folders

Make executable: make files executable

Uca.xml must be put in /root/.config/Thunar first, unless you have already made a custom action which will generate it.

*Make the script executable and run it. Restart thunar for them to show up in right click menu and restart X to get them to show on the desktop.

the mate desktop was rather difficult to put together because it isn't officially supported by Arch Linux. According to 'my' tests though...it's stable. if there's any problems with it....please report.
