Wbar for Slacko

#1 Post by Tman »

Here is Wbar compiled in Slacko 5.5. It requires imlib2 pet as a dependency.

To have wbar run on startup, type the following command in the terminal:

Code: Select all

ln -sf /usr/bin/wbar /root/Startup
note the capital in "Startup"

Truly unreal... all this time and nobody's posted a simple "thank you"?

I thank you Tman for taking the time out to not only post this version of Wbar - but likewise for the work involved in compiling it - and also for taking out the time and special effort to post a screenshot of what said programme would look like when running, etc. It presents a very attractive and inviting page into just what one is downloading. 8) Had I not have been so tired and in a foggy state of mind I would've grabbed this much sooner! I'm surprised others haven't at least commented. Ah well...

Thank you again Tman for your work in helping to make Puppy the great distro that it is today. :) I've been trying several different distros over the past couple of weeks, kind of giving my mind a break from how I've been feeling, and all that it has taught me is what a tremendous distro we have in Puppy! Sure enough so! :D

Cheers/Amicalement,
