Precise: wifi adapter cant find wireless networks (Solved)

puppy sees my wireless adapter but it doesnt find my wifi network and my wifi modem is right next to it
it used to not work when i first got it but then one day it started working randomly for like 2 days then it stopped again
the module loaded is rtl8192cu and the device description is usb: realtek 802.11n wlan adapter

1. my cable modem and wifi router are the same device
2. im on a laptop and its wifi is broken so i am using a wifi adapter
if you need any more info just ask
