Now your stickyjwm2 is obsolete.recobayu wrote:Now, this new stickyjwm2 is better.
So is my How to thread. There I added an update notice to my initial post.
Good to see that JWM development is alive and well.
Hehe.. Cool..
I suggest to use key binding winkey + ctrl as on ubuntu.
But for everyone that have problem with winkey, alt + ctrl can be used as mochimoppel did.
Thanks Mochi..
Edit
I just try that code (maxleft, maxright, maxtop, and maxbottom).
I think there are still problem with that. I snap window to the right screen by ctrl + win + Right arrow. Then I can't move that window by dragging in the title window. Everytime I move the window in any position of screen, it come back again into right half of my screen.
So, my stickyjwm2 still the best, I think..
If we have a problem with winkey, we can change it to alt like mochimoppel do.

Excellent! Now you know what sticky means This is the same behavior as with Maximize-x and Maximize-y. Very consistent and of course there is no "Move" option in the taskbar menu. You wouldn't expect to be able to move a fully maximized window, would you? Same here: Whatever is maximized stays maximized until you restore or minimize the window. I like it.recobayu wrote: Everytime I move the window in any position of screen, it come back again into right half of my screen. .

Transparency
I haven't beaten up on this much but anyway I thought I would give the latest version of JWM a try on Thar6.03 I really don't see anything different or buggy. So kudos to the wise and powerful Joe!
One question - a long time ago I was hell bent on making my urxvt terminals transparent. I got it sort of working but I think there was something about an older version of JWM that made it iffy. At the time I didn't want to fool with it. With the latest and greatest version I assume thats all solid but I've lost my notes on what exactly to do? I've been fiddling with .Xdefaults and what happens when I turn urxvt*transparent:true is a very dark Blue background replaces my normal AntiqueWhite. And its not at all transparent. I tried to add <opaque>0.5 to the .jwmrc file (or I guess its that _root_.jwmrc file? Gotta look at my cheat sheet on how to change that again.
Sorry to ask these mega lame-o questions. I just got totally stuck and I'm spinning my wheels. Thanks for any 2x4s upside the head to get me back on track.

After installing jwm v-2.3.4 in my puppy tahr 6.0.5 using
I couldn't launch pupclockset from my tray.
How to fix that?
Thank you.
Edit:
It is fixed by adding "exec:". So my .jwmrc-tray changed to be like this:
Code: Select all
./configure --prefix=/usr
make
new2dir make install

After compiling jwm v-2.3.5 in my puppy tahr 6.0.5 I got window title buttons disappeared. BTW /usr/share/pixmaps/close.png and other exist.
am I wrong with some compile options?
Or config files has changed?

UPDATE:
Got it worked after changing .PNG files to .SVG..
so It looks like 'JWM Buttons Theme' changer won't be working until the fix for copying svg files without converting to png into /usr/share/pixmaps/
