@ 666philb,

I use Precise and I thank you very much for your stirling work on this handy quickpet.

@ all

Having recently received widespread praise, I installed slimboat browser (v 1.1.19 which version impressively included just two fixes which were stated as specifically for Puppy).

A message stated v 1.1.28 was available for update, but even though the Linux version has a dedicated Puppy update - I failed to use it properly and it did not update.

"Precise" instructions would be appreciated if anyone has successfully updated slimboat.

My regards

hi jasper,

just installing the .deb as opposed to the puppy tar.gz should update it

Hi 666philb,

Thank you for your help which worked.

In case others use it, in my case the Menu category changed
from Interet at original installation to Utility on update.

That is unimportant to me and I could change it if I wished.

My regards

The Goole Earth doesn't work in my PC (core2duo with Intel G33 integrated graphics). It's say's I don't have graphics card capable of 3D.

I am facing the same problem in Upup Raring also. Any ideas how to make it work?

hi spandey,

possibly xorgwizard has picked the vesa unaccelerated driver... try re-running xorgwizard and see if you can pick a different driver

i would say it's definately to do with whatever driver you're using.... it works fine for me on my AMD and NVIDIA graphics computers, unfortunately i can't test on intel.

is it the same on precise and raring?

yes it's same on Precise and Raring. Do you have any old version Pet for Google earth like 6.2/6.0 which is compatible to Precise?
