New to Puppy Linux, liking it a lot

#1 Post by ytszazu »

Tried puppy 6.3 and 6.0.5

Abandoned 6.3 and favoured 6.0.5 because i "newbie assumed" that it will be better software supported becase it was ubuntu based.

I like 6.0.5 very much because it can run off two of my old computers, 1) a pentium m with 256 mb ram and 2) a pentium D with 1 gb ram

I guess i am "reverse learning" puppy linux by understanding more of puppy in order to play games on it, as well as blind curiosity to get an OS running in an old computer.

Tried the LxPup versions, preferred the 6.0.5 because there is icons on the desktop. I am still learning on how to add new icons on the desktop on all the puppy versions.

Thank you developers for the great OS,

Regards,

ytszazu

I can't add it to that thread but I can do the next best thing and move it to the Puppy Power section of the forum.

We are Puppy.
Resistance is futile.
You will be assimilated.

Welcome!!
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected

ytszazu, welcome! ... But please, do not assimilate!

This community badly needs fresh/younger talent with independent thinking and a healthy dose of skepticism. The assimilation has already driven us into complacency, claptrap and stagnation, to say the least. Let's drain the swamp! Let's make Puppy great again!
