Thunderbird breaks in UPup whenever I use it

Hi. I've got what I think is an unusual problem - I installed Upup Raring 3.9.9.2 recently and then a few extra programs and libraries, including the Pekwm window manager.

Mostly it all works fine, but Thunderbird won't work in UPup without the dbus libraries from the 412 collection, and once I've closed it down it won't work again until I've reinstalled the dbus libraries and then rebooted.

UPup is a great distro and one I can imagine myself staying with, but this is a vexing fault. Does anyone have any idea as to how I might be able to fix it?

Oh dear, it's working now :redface:

When it wasn't, I was getting the d_bus missing message (which prompted me to install the dbus files from 4.12), or sometimes nothing at all.

Thanks for your help anyway; it may be an intermittent problem. I know I can rectify it by reinstalling the d_bus files and rebooting; even if it's a hassle it seems to work to resolve the problem.

One last thing: I should mention the version of Thunderbird I used, which was 2.0.0.24. This was as a result of a tip from Mike, who told me that the earlier versions of Thunderbird work just as well as the later ones and use less in the way of system resources. He was right about that.
