Ralink RT2870/RT3070 drivers

#1 Post by pachondo »

Hello, i´ve been triying to figure this out all day, i have this usb wireless adapter that works ok in windows, it uses the rt2870sta driver, in puppy the network manager auto loads the rt2800usb module for it, it detects the interface (almost always) but it´s hard as hell to connect to any network (open, wep, wpa or wharever), it nevers manage to conect, and when it does it just keeps diconecting randomnly and gets a very low speed and thats why i whant to use the rt2870sta instead.

I´ve installed several .pet such as: http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic. ... 938#481085 and the rt2870sta appears at the list of avaliable modules in the network manager but whe i try to select it says "FATAL:Module rt2870sta not found". Maybe incompatible kernel or something like that?

Using:
Puppy - Precise 5.4
Kernel - 3.2.29
Usb Wireless adapter ID - 148f:3070 (wich at http://cateee.net/lkddb/web-lkddb/RT2800USB.html mark it as RT2870/RT3070)

Any ideas?
Thanks for reading!
