hi everyone...

recently i try using puppy linux (528) to create stop motion animation... and puppy linux seems to have all the ingredient there....

so here is some great and useful program that i found from this forum or available in puppy linux, which is ver 528.

sound : bacon recorder, edited using audacity... have difficulty using built in editor

frames : captured from webcam using gucview (autonumbering should be turned on), or if using tv-tuner can use tv-time (autonumbering using bash program).
these frames are then turned into avi files using ffmpeg (or imported into openshot directly)

video editor : openshot (EDIT : v13 works best for 528)!

EDIT 1:
all program from http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/pe ... ges-lucid/

EDIT2:
blender-2.56a-beta-lucid52 + Openshot-1.3-Lucid + Python-2.6-Lucid

EDIT 3:
run these on 528 to make openshot more stable
cp /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/displaylink_drv.so.not /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/displaylink_drv.so

even the animated title work !
:P

thank you @ smil99

so is there some other useful program... ? maybe capture program with frame overlay ?

thanks

Another video editor (other than openshot) is Avidemux ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avidemux

Blender can do 3D animation ...http://puppylinux.org/wikka/Blender
