[SOLVED] - Personal Storage File Getting Full? |
|
Hi there,
I'm having a small issue with the latest version of Puppy Linux and need a bit of help. Recently i have been receiving a message saying this:
"WARNING: Personal storage file getting full, strongly recommend you resize it or delete files!"
How do i fix this error? I'm fairly sure it's the RAM which is getting full but i don't know how to remove files from it. I've installed Google Chrome and Gimp graphics editor which may be the problem, so how to i move these to the memory stick but still make them work and display in the menus?
Thanks.

No, no, no...
The message it´s clear, your Personal storage file getting full, the RAM it dealed by the kernel, you dont hgave to worry about it.
I think you have done a frugal install, isn´t it?
Well, in that moment you had to choose the size (in Mbytes) of your personal storage file, a single file where your personal software and personalization is stored to the next boot.
Search in the menus to an item saying something like Resize Personal storage file and follow the instructions.
Good luck.[/b]

It's not a ram problem.
It's the personal storage file made during the frugal
setup.
Go to "menu - utility - increase personal file size".

Hi LinuxRob
Glad you solved the issue.
If you get a chance would you edit your first post and put [SOLVED] in the header?
Thanks.
(It helps when searching for answers to see a [SOLVED] thread. Gives hope for finding an answer. )
