For Debiandog user : sudo dpkg -i dayplanner_0.11-1_all.deb
Debiandog has a specific tool to install deb files and dependencies.
If you install from .run :
chmod +x dayplanner-0.11.run
To start the installation process :
./dayplanner-0.11.run
To uninstall :
sh /home/username/.local/share/dayplanner/uninstall.sh
