Had not heard of it before. read here
https://www.persona.org/
Connect with Mozilla Persona, the safest & easiest way to sign in.
Persona replaces multiple passwords

Persona is flexible

Within Persona, your identity is your email address. You can use as many email addresses as you want, but you still only need one password.

and so on read on the site
Would be interesting to get your take on this.
How safe would it be. Less identity thefts?
Easier to sign in only needing one password.

Would the firms and company that follow us around
more easy collect our whereabouts? Any other view on it?

Could this be the trend to a total control society where
they know all about each individual? No privacy whatsoever?

The unique browser persona identity will always send out who you really are?

The only advantage of "persona" and sign-in services, e.g. "sign in with Google", is that you only have to remember an email address and one password to access multiple sites.

You're right these services could be used to track the websites a person visits.
