Why can I only run puppy in 800x600 but in windows 1024x768?

Why can I only run puppy in 800x600 but in windows 1024x768?

So..I have and old P III 450 mhz...
Video: SIS 6326 AGP

and I been trying all configurations in xorgwizard but only works the 800x600 resolutions...
I try changing Xorg.conf ...but nothing changes...
is theres a driver for this??

i need more resolution...he

I had one of those cards about 6 years ago - also had the pci version. Puppy versions from around that time seemed to run 1024x768 OK with the pci version, but I had trouble with the agp. Lucid 528 MAY be able to run this - worth a try. I assume you've tried xorgwizard from the command prompt. Depending on your monitor, vesa may be the answer.
