Do these controversial utilities exist of Puppy - just the utilities themselves, not the daemons?
I know that ssh and telnet exist, but I'm interested in ssh's older counterparts (and please don't hijack the thread with a lecture on "security"!).
Thanks,
Jeffrey.
rsh and rlogin
i have /usr/bin/rsh on my Puppy, but no idea where I got it from (compiled tons of programs).
Tell me, if it misses something, I attach the binary.
Rlogin I could not find quickly.

these programs belong to:
http://www.gnu.org/software/inetutils/inetutils.html
Download of sources:
ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/gnu/inetutils/ ... 4.2.tar.gz
Dotpup (240 kb):
http://dotpups.de/dotpups/Internet/Inetutils-1.4.2.pup
I compiled them, they will install to:
/usr/local/Inetutils-1.4.2
This avoids conflicts with existing programs in Puppy.
You can add them to your PATH in /etc/profile, or copy the programs you need to /usr/bin
To change /etc/profile:
replace
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/my-applications/bin
with
PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/root/my-applications/bin:/usr/local/Inetutils-1.4.2/bin:/usr/local/Inetutils-1.4.2/libexec
