Ov-Precise 5.3.0 No Longer AVAILABLE

#1 Post by oldyeller »

Hello Everyone,

Here is an update .pet for mpalyer. You will be able to adjust video picture quilty

mplayer_update.001

This is a build using kernel 3.2.27 That pemasu had compiled for us.

On this build I included the right click by don.

Download Ov-Precise-5.3.0 144mb
md5sum
b6665a3af97c96ca892d84eb586e9885

Download devx_ov-precise_5.3.0.sfs 124 mb
md5sum
ba9071e8a5270c5c4ae9f80bcd483a66
pemasu

I have now uploaded kernel 3.2.27-precise to the smokey01.com. It uses Barry Kauler`s DOTconfig ie it is pae kernel, I just included those missing dvb tuner drivers.
Thanks for the kernel

Cheers

Fantastic Puppy - did a manual frugal to sda1 on my 10yr old Acer laptop - multibooting via grub4dos - ext3 partition - 600mb swap.

This has got to be one of the smoothest, sweetest, fastest and easiest to setup puppy's I've used for a long time.

So far, everything seems very good.

Many, many thanks for providing us with such a nice Puppy.

Very best regards - Ray

Can this be used to update the precisesave.3fs file for Precise-5.2.60?

Have you looked at how Shinobar organises his Japanese distribution
into separate SFS packages?

I was able to get his Japanese Seamonkey SFS to work in Precise.

The goffice contains Abiword ,gnumeric and Inkscapelite
but I couldn't get it to work in precise.

I got an idea while looking a Tazoc's Lighthouse 503

He puts a mhwaveedit configuration file in his ISO
so that the first time a user launches mhwaveedit
it will have a wide window and less vertical scroll bars.
It's a nice touch!! :lol:

Here's the file he uses ----> /root/.mhwaveedit/config
Note that there is a line for window geometry

Code: Select all

# mhWaveEdit configuration file.
# Automatically generated by mhWaveEdit 1.4.20
# May be hand edited but extra comments will be removed when the
# settings are saved.
# Remove this file to restore default settings.

tempfilesFP = true
speedReset = false
viewQuality = 128
timeDisplayScale = 0
varispeedConv = 5
tempDir1 = /root/.mhwaveedit
rollCursor = false
mixerUtility = retrovol
showTimeScale = true
showSpeed = false
showHorizontalZoom = false
playerFallback_BigEndian = false
showVerticalZoom = false

It is a different kernel not sure you could copy your savefile and see, unless you have already done it.

peebee thanks

don570 will take a look at root/.mhwaveedit/config.

Thanks you all rock :D :D

I found that I couldn't change hue ,brightness etc. of videos.

After investigation I found that a new configuration file for mplayer
would solve this problem.

I got the new config file from a lucid puppy distribution.
mplayer works as expected with this fix.

Here it is...

Code: Select all

# Write your default config options here!

[gnome-mplayer]
vo=x11
vf=eq2
ao=alsa
msglevel=all=5
zoom=1
Pemasu has written a more sophisticated config file for mplayer.

Open up Pemasu's pet that I posted . There's a hidden .mplayer
folder in /root I believe. I'm not home :cry:

Hi

I've updated the wiki front page, to reflect name change-

http://puppylinux.org/wikka/HomePage

does ov 5.3.0 supersede previous versions, also is this a beta?
