video issues on 5.3.3 SOLVED

ok, not new to linux as I am currently doing this from Zorin OS, Been around puppy since before lucid. recently updated my old dell laptop from lucid to slacko 5.3.3 and now I have a problem I can't seem to fix. my monitor shows 3/4 of the desktop and has elongated it to where I have to move things to see them all. i've included a screenshot for download so you can see what I mean. I did not have this issue with Lucid and I can't seem to get a good copy of Lucid to install back to that. Any help would be appreciated.

It seems i needed to mess with the video settings a little more, i managed to use the Xorg wizard and solve the issue |
