Hi

From a Slacko 5.3.3 live cd I ran puppy universal installer to get usb stick with slacko on it. I did not use the slickpet driver for nvidea cards because I think the default driver suits me better. I chose to leave the mbr as it was.
Trouble is when I boot on the stick the screen is black but the tray and the menu is ok. Question
The stick is 8gb and memoty is 4gb and my board is msi am2 platform.

Hi Sylvander

Thanks for the links. I tried once more and seemed to be ok. I was on the internet right away and I left the video driver as the default and I installed the flashplayer and firefox and rebooted the stick.
Oh god, now I was off the net and though slacko said that netwizard was ok
I was still not on the net and I could not start ff Rolling Eyes Crying or Very sad

OW Question

You need a Puppy expert, but until one comes along...

(a) Ideally, prior to installing stuff, you should have rebooted, and made a slackosave file during that process...
And only then...
(b) Installed Firefox [without the Flashplayer], and manually saved the session by clicking the "Save" icon on the desktop.
Did you see at shutdown/reboot, notification of the session being autosaved?
Then...
(c) Only install Flashplayer if/when all's looking good.
I installed GetFlash and used that to install Flashplayer.
(d) Perhaps you should begin afresh, and do the above?

(a) If you decide to not begin afresh...
Try running firefox from a terminal, and see if it reports the cause of the problem [why Firefox is not running].
And...
(b) Have you tried manually using the "Menu->Setup->Internet Connection Wizard" to connect?
