.. found some Critical Vulnerability on your website .

Bug Type : Cross Site scripting
Checked in : Firefox
OS : Windows
Impact : Cross-site scripting (XSS) is a type of computer security vulnerability typically found in Web applications. XSS enables attackers to inject client-side script into Web pages viewed by other users. A cross-site scripting vulnerability may be used by attackers to bypass access controls such as the same origin policy.

Proof Of Concept:

http://puppylinux.org/wikka/EeePC
Looking at the html source I can't see anything injected. It could be a vulnerability in Wikka the correspondent is talking about.

@koulaxizis - a 'wiki - wanted pages' thread pinned somewhere in the forum might be a good idea. It would let people know the wiki exists too.

Can someone contact an administrator to do so? :)

There is a troll hijacking the Spanish forum and wiki home. He's systematically trying to discourage other people from making their own Puppy derivatives and forcing Spanish users to exclusively use his derivative, forum and IRC channel as the only Spanish ones (not long time ago another troll wanted to wreck murgalinux in favor of his own site, too - this is a similar case). He continuously deletes wiki links to resources other than his. See revisions:

and others (every time the wiki page is restored he vandalizes it again) in the edition history (his user name is mama21mama).

other side

It looks like the other side is posting a complaint, too:
http://murga-linux.com/puppy/viewtopic.php?t=91172

Let us see what the wiki admins/members have to say about this.

Happy New Year, and thanks to darkcity for actively moderating the wikka wiki.

Let us see what the wiki admins/members have to say about this.
His complaint is on the basis of a community flag derivative. He insists to be aknowledged as the leader of the community, when there's actually no such thing. He invents rules on his own to center all interest in his work only and harass anyone who goes against his pretentions.

What would you guys feel if for example one day Runtt wakes up and says "from now on I'm the authority for everything Puppy-related, everyone has the obligation to use my Macpup which is now the only official community project and not Pemasu's or 01micko's crap which are personal projects without own forums and sites, and their content is no longer allowed to be on the Puppy wiki which also now belongs to me the only one who can set wiki policies, and everyone that posts anything not related to me and my work is opposing me and therefore is a troll." I'm not devaluating his work, but if there are more Puppy resources in Spanish language and not only his, they should be on the wiki for everyone to know, shouldn't they?

It's easier for us, here in the forum, to ignore his ramblings since he can't directly act against other users. But this is not possible to achieve, for us, in the wiki where the troll can edit content, deleting links to blogs, chat rooms, software and other kind of content in spanish, forcing new users to join his community(puppy-es).

Am attaching the current snapshot of the espanol home page in the wiki. Please tell me what element is missing so that we can have that (those) included.

Nothing is missing. That is so great.

want to put another chat. that is not well seen in the Hispanic community. "Two clocks tell the wrong time"

the wiki is to put serious things. not to put all remaster have lying around.

If a remaster becomes serious, assemble a project together. own repositories, own server.

I think there just might be some information in the wiki.

But trying to put the remaster is closed. No part of the. One is that a remaster who want to impose.

A new IRC channel: #puppy-latino
A derivative that is still maintained: Puppy Night

Note that Puppy-es links were not removed, but he wants those links to be the only ones featured. This is all Puppy Linux Wiki, and he says he has got his own personal wiki, forum and blog at his own personal server. There is no point in him demanding exclusive attention here.

I agree, Murga-Linux is a community full of diversity and fun, that is what makes it attractive. When you are bullied and threatened it is not fun anymore. No need to say one diva does not make a community, that's the lesson left by the one who wanted to dismiss Murga's forum some years ago. I can't imagine any other developers in the forum promoting their work in such a rude way.

It was him who caused this new channel (puppy-latino) to be created. He was like "I created puppy-es IRC channel, if you don't like me, go get your own." When the fellows at Spanish Murga-Linux actually got their own, he started complaining. He even entered the channel to threaten everyone:
mama21mama (~mama@unaffiliated/mama21mama) fue visto por ultima vez saliendo de #puppy-latino hace 17?hours (1.05 18:08 ) ("el que aqui este sera marcado por troll y flame por editar la wiki") despues de pasar 1?minute alli.
Translation of bold red text:
those who hang out here will be treated as trolls and flamers for editing the wiki

Si quieren poner contenido en la wiki lean atentamente

If you want to put content on the wiki to read carefully

*-creen una web oficial de su proyecto.

*- en ese mismo servidor coloquen su archivo .iso.

*- creen si propio repositorio.

**-create an official website for the project.

**-in the same place their file server .iso

**-believe if own repository.

allí sabremos que es un proyecto en serio. que merece ser difundido.

know that there is a serious project. that should be disseminated.

mientras hacen eso por favor, no difamen nuestra comunidad hispana.

while doing that please do not defame our Hispanic community.

ni hagan contenido flame sobre nuestra comunidad hispana. Se que algun dia seran un grupo grande, solo se llega a eso respetando a los demas.

content flame or make on our Hispanic community. I know some day will be a large group, it only comes to respecting others.

different wiki page; sticky in Spanish forum

#60 Post by raffy »

I guess no one prevents anyone from creating Puppy-Latino page in the wiki. I should let it be owned by 'wow' if you want (What is your name in the wiki?).

Also, 'wow' owns a prominentsticky thread in the Spanish forum, so you can make the necessary announcements there.

I guess I should put links to the different languages in the forum in the puppylinux.org home page - this is the frequently visited page.

Ideally, we want each language group to maintain a single home page, but if there are constant disagreements, we can find a way to sustain the creative energy of people (ie, rather than suppress it).

I'm so sorry for all this, raffy. Please understand that we're not supressing anyone, he is. What we actually want is the moderators to tell him to behave. I wish John were here. It's a shame and contradictory that he blurbs about having his own sites yet he invades official Puppy sites.

Moreover, the guys at Spanish MurgaLinux Community (a branch of the MurgaLinux Community which supports the Puppy Linux Project which has official website, forum, servers and repositories) support official Puppy builds, not only derivatives, even in the new IRC channel. The guy at Spanish Puppy-es Community (separate site, forum, server, repo, etc.) supports Puppy-es only. If we post even about official Puppy Linux and he doesn't like, he will re-edit everything and yet be so shameless to keep calling us trolls and complaining bitterly. Separate wiki home pages won't help, he'll still be able to edit both, won't him?

Even if the fellows at Spanish MurgaLinux do get a server, website, forum and repositories for their puppies, he will invent more ridiculous excuses to supress any derivatives not made by him.

I still don't understand why he's got such a disproportionate ambition -- usually in free software and opensource you don't get famous, get fans or get rich.

EDIT

This is endless and useless, so personally I decided to stop here and pay attention to more important things. Besides, it's summer holidays here. Thank you Raffy and all for your help.

I've just checked the wiki page and found that the new owner of the "http://puppylinux.org/wikka/espanol" page is mama21mama. He is the "Village's Idiot", more info at #archlinux-co (spanish) and [here] so... congratulations, you have just trolled yourself too.

I guess that you're not trusting what vicmz wrote, please try to trust me. Every single word is truth. There no such a thing like mama21mama's "Hispanic community", he is alone in this.

Sorry raffy, I don't want to "split" the user base.

This is incorrect the wiki is for storing any and all Puppy linux knowledge - and maybe even organizing it a bit.

Whether a project has or hasn't got its own server is irrelevant to how useful a project is.
