What driver to use with hp deskjet 3325?

What works, and doesn't, for you. Be specific, and please include Puppy version.

Hi Folollejk,

I just checked the http://localhost:631 website (the site is used in conjunction with the proceedure outlined in the CUPS (finally here) thread located in the Cutting Edge topic area on the Forum) and the HP Deskjet 3325 is one of those listed.

I would like to suggest that you visit the CUPS thread and follow the instructions located here: http://www.murga.org/~puppy/viewtopic.p ... 49&start=0

Go to Rarsa's post dated 9/3/05... about 3/4 of the way down page 1 of the thread. He has a step by step set of instructions on what to do to get your printer working.

If you are using a version of Puppy greater than 1.0.5, you will have to download and put in the same place that has your pup001 file the usr_devx.sfs file. This is a 44+ MB file that CUPS requires. This file can be downloaded from here.... http://www.puppylinux.org/user/downloads.php?cat_id=12 (it is the first one on the list).

What all of the above instructions accomplish is placing the driver that your printer requires into it's proper place in Puppy, and allows your printer to work with Puppy.

Good Luck.

Let us know if you are successful getting your printer to work.
