How I installed Gnucash 2.4.11 in Slacko 5.7

#1 Post by zandoval »

Tried installing Gnucash-2.4.11 = missing libraries not working
Tried installing old .SFS Gnucash-2.2.9 = missing libraries not working

Uninstalled all Gnucash and rebooted.

Activated Puppy5 repository.

Installed Gnucash-2.4.11 - Was able to find all the libraries needed - Had multiple redundant Lib type errors but OK went through them all except gstreamer.

Gnucash-2.4.11 working now - SO far no conflicts with the missing gstreamer files...

Rem: this is a big and bulky program but it works and is trusted in all the Puppy Slacko installs - THANKS You'se Guys...

Unless your financing data is complex, I use the installed Homebank program. it works well.

We want GNUcash, not Homebank, isn'it ? Homebank is for my housewife !
Try Gnucash with lucid ( 2.2.95) it works, but you need some money in your account.
GNUcash has not been used for a long time in Puppy forum. Lack of money, i presume. :)
