After some struggles (see: this thread) I got fatdog64 working as a guest via virtualbox on a windows 8.1 operating system, with guest services. The link to the iso is here:

Currently, at 4.483 GB the resulting iso is too large to really be in the puppy spirit. Perhaps by removing the kernal source, and maybe devx as well as well as remastering I can substantially reduce this. I will give this a try some time this month. My trials and tribulations can be found here:
