Just a quick tip for anyone looking for a pre-built binary of Daniel Lawrence's MicroEmacs to run on Puppy Linux.
(JASSPA MicroEmacs, which is an offshoot of Lawrence MicroEmacs, has already been mentioned in a couple of other threads. If you MUST have a MicroEmacs with syntax highlighting, then JASSPA is the way to go. Otherwise, the original Lawrence MicroEmacs is a much leaner, cleaner editor.)
Peter Teuben, an astrophysicist at the U of Maryland, has a nice build here:
ftp://ftp.astro.umd.edu/pub/teuben/mem
This binary is only about 150K, and stripped it's only about 128K. MUCH smaller than JASSPA. I've used this on Wary 5.x and the current Precise 5.5 beta. It requires libtermcap.so.2, for which a symlink to /lib/libncurses.so works just fine.
I have tested numerous prebuilt Linux binaries of Lawrence MicroEmacs on Puppy and this is the ONLY one I have found that allows you to use traditional keybindings that use CTRL-S.
You can find a nice PDF or HTML version of the user manual here:

Look for the "uemacs 4.00 User Manual"
