QEMU-puppy gui

#1 Post by espertalhao04 »

hey everyone...
i have created a SIMPLE gui for QEMU-puppy...
it's basicly a compiled version of QEMU 0.9.0, with some options to run puppy 2.17...
it can be used to run other os too, and set the minimal options...
this script is not well optimized, but you can use it, with a great performance...
any idea, request, doubt or problem, just say it...

download QEMU-puppy:
http://www.erikveen.dds.nl/qemupuppy/

Download script file (place it inside the same folder):
https://hotfile.com/dl/161688911/1bfde1 ... ar.gz.html

obs.: you MUST have gtkdialog3 installed...
if you run this from terminal, you will see a bunch of errors: just ignore them...
the boot device must be the first hdd or iso(if you use several hdd at the same time)...
you just tick the option saying "Run with default OS", and it will automatically run QEMU with puppy linux...

anything you need, just ask...

:D Hello,
Nice little GUI, I just had to correct "SO" to "OS".. :)
The GTK update installed in /tmp so I manually moved it to /usr/sbin.
Other than that it works well..
Close the Windows, and open your eyes, to a whole new world

i am sooooo sorry about that!!!
it's just that i am portuguese and we say so (sistema operativo) and i mixed it...
i am thinking about to include some other options...
but i just need that someone tell me the most used ones, so i wont make a huge list with all the options...
the idea of this gui is to provide easy access and setup of qemu to run...
and a list with a bunch of useless options is not a great idea...
try running it in console and tell me which options i should include...
i am thinking about to (at least) add the option -fullscreen and the option -win2k-hack (i guess this is the name)...
i have to make some optimizations in the execution, cause it tries to run qemu anyway, regardless of what happen...

hey puppyluvr...
i created a new gui...
test it and give me your opinion...
the last option is not available...
it was an attempt to generate a script file with all the options selected...
the result: doesn't create the .sh file, anywhere i know!!!
well, here it is the script...
