GNUCash for Slacko? (Solved) Sub_title: SFS or PET
I recently switched over to Slacko from the most recent release of Lucid.
The only thing I have not been able to do with Slacko at this point is install / run GNUCash. I would hate to have to go back to Lucid every time I need to run GNUCash (which is what I must do now and may precipitate going back altogether).
Does anyone know of an SFS or PET of GNUCash for Slacko? Edited_times_total
gnucash is in the package manager but you need to enable the slackware repos.
open the PPM (puppy package manager) and press the configure/options button.
then make sure the three slackware repos & the slacko repo are ticked and press ok (don't press update!!!)
then exit the PPM entirely
when you restart the the PPM and the new repos will be enabled. type gnucash into the find box and it will appear. make sure you press the examine dependencies button, and choose to install all.
Thanks for the help. I did not realize that the slacko repos were not 'on' by default. Followed your suggestions and I now have GNUCash up and running.
