It would be great to see someone compile the new GIMP 2.8 for Puppy.
Anyone wanting to take the challenge?

Hello, sheepy.

Here you will find a few Gimp packages already prepared for Puppy:

Best regards.

As has been discussed, there are way too many dependencies for Gimp, for it to be made into a pet.

It would have to be an sfs.

Gimp doesn't update every week either, so a static filesystem should be perfectly fine.

In the old days it was packaged as a pet...

:D Gimp can most assuredly be made as a .pet, an .sfs is just more economical.. It does require a lot of libs...
What version of Puppy are you running?

I'm running Macpup 528 at the moment but I have six different puppies on my computer.
