hi divisionmd
first off you need to install your graphic drivers .. quickpet>>>>drivers
then install these two .pets
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributions/puppylinux//pet_packages-lucid/Compiz-0.8.4-Lucid.pet
and
http://ftp.nluug.nl/ibiblio/distributions/puppylinux//pet_packages-lucid/compiz_xfce4-4.6.2-Lucid.pet
then goto the menu >>> desktop>>>desktop settings>>>WM switcher, and switch to xfce
compiz should then be working...... if you find you have no window borders, try rebooting as that fixes it for me.
