Opera no sound 511 525 528 puppies

#19 Post by Pelo »

Opera is fine, i just tried it, but I use mainly 'my opera'. Then i wanted to watch videos on 'you tube' and i have the movie without the talk, in spite of having downloaded the adobe flash player requested.
In my opinion, the problem is fromopera, because with several distros and others browsers, sound was here. In several forums, under windows, we are told to Press F12 to activate web sound, with my puppies, i get the menu doing that.
Where is the bug,if you know ? ( Lucid 5.2.8 has no sound at all, even with different browsers).
To-day we are voting for our 'president de la république'. I let my computer and i go there to put my ticket.
Bonne journée.

Pelo- are you running the latest 5.28 or one with a possible earlier instant update? Check your ~/.packages for it..

I have updated the Flashplayer pet to version 11.2.202.235. See first post in thread.

This is a security update which should be used to replace version 11.2.202.233.

I have re-packaged the pet to correct the permissions of libflashplayer.so to root, root. Downloading from Adobe gives the file permissions [501], guest.

I have also retitled the pet to flashplayer-11.2.202.235.pet.

See first post for download instructions.

FLASH Player is being "put to sleep"

#27 Post by gcmartin »

I know this doesn't apply to Puppy or Linux, at large. But, you be the judge: (this was sent to me by a colleague)
[quote]And thus ends the tale of Flash on mobile browsers: Adobe has announced it will not support Flash Player browser plugin for Android 4.1 and onward.

“There will be no certified implementations of Flash Player for Android 4.1,

gcmartin:

Only comment I have is WTF does this have to do with a specific thread about a flashplayer pet for Puppy! If you want to start another of your philosophical rambles why not start a specific thread for it?

Sorry you're offended.

I'm concerned to know if this could/would impact Puppy or PUP development. I'm not looking for anything philosophical.

Here to help

I suggest you install GetFlash and try the latest version of Flash:
