I tried to install privoxy 3.0.19 through the puppy package manger. It installs with no errors or missing dependencies but is not in the internet menu where it says it should be. If I go into the terminal emulator and type privoxy this is what I get:
b762a6co Fatal error: can't check configuration file '/root/config': No such file or directory
Can anyone tell me how to get this working?
Thanks,
Dan
Privoxy installed from ppm, won't run
What version of Puppy?
How is it installed? Full or frugal?

You download it in PPM from what repository?I tried to install privoxy 3.0.19 through the puppy package manger.
The things they do not tell you, are usually the clue to solving the problem.
When I was a kid I wanted to be older.... This is not what I expected
YaPI(any iso installer)

version 5.3.1
installed to flash drive? frugal I guess? Using encrypted save file.
Installed from ppm, puppy-slacko selected.
There are several builds of Privoxy .pets around.
I don't remember which one has everything set up right.
For your problem you can move /etc/privoxy/config to /root config.
For the startup, you would normally link the executable to /root/startup/privoxy.
The executable is most likely in /root/my-applications/privoxy, but could be somewhere else, depending on who packaged it.
