Subject description: is it a good idea?
 

I find that some apps require a newer gtk+ version as a dependency.

Question from a noob compiler:
Is it alright to upgrade gtk+ or will it break other apps/libs that come preinstalled in puppy?

it isn't supposed to, but sometimes it does anyways... 2.24.10 supposedly fixes most regressions though.
